EDITORIAL STANDARDS

How we create, review, and update every article.

Medical weight management is YMYL territory — what we publish affects real decisions about real bodies. We hold our content to standards we'd want for our own families.

Educational content only. This page does not provide medical advice, a diagnosis, or a recommendation to start any medication. Provider review is required for all care. LeenRx connects individuals with licensed clinicians through SHWCare; LeenRx does not diagnose, prescribe, or guarantee results. Medication availability, suitability, dosing, and any clinical decisions are made solely by a licensed clinician based on your individual medical history. Results vary.

Step 1

Content creation

Articles begin with member-facing search questions — the actual phrases people type when they're frustrated, confused, or searching for help. Our writing leads emphasize biology, not opinion.

Step 2

Clinical review

Every article touching medication, diagnosis, or treatment is reviewed by the SHWCare clinical team before publication. Reviewers verify accuracy against current FDA-approved indications and remove any language that crosses into clinical advice.

Step 3

Compliance pass

Every article is screened for restricted language: no dosing instructions, no efficacy claims, no comparative efficacy statements, no language that implies a specific outcome.

Step 4

Update frequency

Articles are reviewed at least every 12 months — and immediately when FDA labeling changes, when new medications enter the category, or when reader questions surface a missing topic. The 'Reviewed' date in every byline reflects the most recent clinical review.

Our principles

  • We educate. We don't diagnose, prescribe, or guarantee results.
  • We name our author and our clinical reviewer on every article.
  • We publish reviewed and updated dates in the byline and Article schema.
  • We never publish testimonials without written consent and provider review.
  • We screen every article for restricted language before publication.
  • We respond to member feedback within 5 business days.

How LeenRx and SHWCare work together

LeenRx is the wellness experience — the front door that helps you share your goals and request a clinical evaluation. SHWCare is the licensed clinical network — board-certified providers review your intake, confirm whether medical weight management is appropriate, and make every prescribing decision independently. We never make clinical decisions.

  1. You complete a 90-second qualification quiz on LeenRx.
  2. Your intake is reviewed by a licensed SHWCare clinician — usually within 24 hours.
  3. If the clinician determines the protocol is appropriate, treatment is initiated through SHWCare's pharmacy network.
  4. Ongoing check-ins and progress reviews remain with your SHWCare provider.

LeenRx is a lead acquisition and qualification platform — not a medical provider, pharmacy, or diagnostic service. Qualified members are connected with independent state-licensed clinicians through our clinical partner SHWCare (Shepherd Health & Wellness). All clinical decisions, prescriptions, and care delivery are made by those licensed providers at their sole discretion.

Results vary by individual. Member outcomes and testimonials reflect real people but are not a guarantee of your results. GLP-1 medications require a valid prescription and are not for use during pregnancy or nursing.

Not for emergencies. If you experience severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, signs of pancreatitis, or an allergic reaction — stop treatment and call 911. 18+, U.S. residents only.
