Eligibility
Who is eligible for LeenRx?+
Members must be 18+, located in a state where SHWCare has licensed providers, and pass a clinical review. Pregnancy or active nursing are screened out.
What if I'm not in Texas?+
SHWCare serves 14+ states. Onboarding will confirm your eligibility based on your state of residence.
Do I need a referral?+
No referral is needed. The intake quiz is the start of the clinical conversation.
Medication questions
Which medication will I be on?+
That is a clinical decision made by your SHWCare provider based on your full intake. The educational guides in the Resources Hub explain the options at a category level.
Can I request a specific medication?+
Yes — and you should share your preferences during intake. The final decision is the provider's.
Is it FDA-approved?+
Each medication's specific FDA-approved uses are reviewed during your visit. Some medications may be used on- or off-label depending on the clinical picture.
Side effects
What side effects should I expect?+
Most members in the GLP-1 / GIP categories report mild, transient nausea and digestive changes early on. A full personalized discussion happens with your provider.
What if I have side effects mid-protocol?+
Contact your SHWCare care team immediately. Adjustments are clinical decisions.
Pricing
How much does this cost?+
Pricing varies by program. The LeenRx pricing page shows current options, and the care team helps members understand insurance, HSA / FSA, and discount eligibility.
Is it covered by insurance?+
Coverage varies widely by plan and by medication. Our care team helps members understand what their plan includes.
Provider review
How long does the provider review take?+
Most reviews complete within 24 business hours of a complete intake.
What if I'm declined?+
The provider's role is to make sure care is appropriate. If a different path is recommended, the care team will walk you through the options.
SHWCare process
What is SHWCare?+
SHWCare is the licensed clinical network LeenRx partners with. All medical decisions — review, prescribing, ongoing care — are made by SHWCare's licensed clinicians.
Why two brands?+
LeenRx is the wellness experience and education layer. SHWCare is the clinical infrastructure. The separation is intentional and lets each team specialize.
Weight loss expectations
How fast will I lose weight?+
We don't make speed claims. Outcomes are individual and unfold over months, not weeks. Your provider will discuss what's realistic for your situation.
Will I keep the weight off?+
Sustainable weight management is a long-term clinical conversation. Members typically continue care after their first goal is reached.
How LeenRx and SHWCare work together
LeenRx is the wellness experience — the front door that helps you share your goals and request a clinical evaluation. SHWCare is the licensed clinical network — board-certified providers review your intake, confirm whether medical weight management is appropriate, and make every prescribing decision independently. We never make clinical decisions.
- You complete a 90-second qualification quiz on LeenRx.
- Your intake is reviewed by a licensed SHWCare clinician — usually within 24 hours.
- If the clinician determines the protocol is appropriate, treatment is initiated through SHWCare's pharmacy network.
- Ongoing check-ins and progress reviews remain with your SHWCare provider.
